Emerging technology starts with "what can it do."
Users only ever ask "what can I create because it exists."
My role was to sit between product vision and technical capability and answer the second question first.
In 2024 we shipped AIGE (AI Generated Effects), Effect House's AI effect generation feature, an industry first. Design owned 0 to 1 model training, new specs that raised playability, and style transfer pipeline optimization.
From 2020, as design point of contact, I benchmarked competitors and built effects in-house with Image Business Partners, PMs, and Interactive Engineers. After Effect House launched in 2023, the focus moved to viral-ready effects for external designers and landing new capabilities in the tool.
Changing PM and RD partners kept moving the scope, from competitor AR algorithms in 2020 to face-first features by 2023. Fast visual proposals gave everyone something concrete to align on.
My strength is turning "frontier algorithm" into "interesting experiences."
